What Marketing Program to Go With?

There are a huge variety or programs out there to choose from.  Some old, some new, some orignial, some crap, and then you have re-hashed material.  Every time a new product comes out the hype about it is that it will solve all of your financial woes.  You know what?  Some of it actually can if you put the knowledge to use and work at it!

I have found that there isn’t a get rich quick unless you win the lottery and even then some people play all their lives and never reach 1st place or the Grand Prize that is most coveted.  So what do you do?  You put your nose to the grindstone and assimilate as much knowledge as you can.  If you think you will get it for free, you’re sadly mistaken.

Now, I guess that isn’t entirely accurate, there are some tools that have free tutorials but the key is how to put everything together so you make a sale on what ever you’re promoting.  That’s where all of the guru’s come in.

First you have to decide which route of marketing you are going to take.  For most newbies it is about free traffic which is about backlinks, seo (search engine optimization), article writing, blogging, forums, and so forth.  You still have to have a clue on what you are doing and how to organize it all so it points to your sales page without Google getting huffy.  That takes work and know-how on top of the work and know-how of all the little ins and outs to get yourself published.  If you’re determined to go the free traffic route you might want to check out some of the inexpensive courses out there to get you started, such as Chris Fox’s new program.

Some people jump into pay per click advertising and lose their shirt and some try and try and try to get even an impression and don’t succeed.  There are quite a few gurus out there that advocate this type of marketing and they do that because it works for them.  However, there is a HUGE amount of competition and it is difficult to break through, not to mention costly.  Another thing that does make a significant difference in the amount of money that leaves your pocket in the pay per click game is email lists.  Again, you’ve gotta’ know what you are doing with PPC to get the email list.  A couple of guys who have really made it work for themselves is Chris McNeeny and Andrew Fox as well as Perry Marshall.  Although, I’m not aware of any new programs you can get into with any of them – they have had a launch, got a certain number of new members and then closed the door for the time being.

A big buzz word of late has been "CPA" marketing, which stands for cost-per-action or cost-per-acquistion.  Here is something that can really pay off in the long run, again if you know what you are doing, but can have higher overhead costs than free traffic.  The point with CPA is that even if a person clicks on your ad, you don’t have to pay for it unless the person buys.  Then if the person buys or signs up for a free trial you get a commission from the company for it.  Your commission rates tend to be smaller, but not always, and then you also have a larger quantity of ’sales’ that off-sets the rate.  Again, you really need to know where to go, what to do, and how to do it to get the job done.  Saj P has released a previous product that relates to the CPA marketing, but he does have a new one coming out that opens July 28th.  This is a relatively inexpensive program but it is set up so a newbie can understand with a step-by-step guide, so it might be worth checking it out here.
